When you opt-out of searchability on Have I Been Pwned, your email address is no longer publicly searchable. Depending on the opt-out option chosen, we may also not have any record of your email address, so we cannot confirm whether or not opt-out has occurred. This leaves two options:
- If a search for your address on the front page returns a result, you have definitely not opted out
- If you are uncertain as to whether you've opted-out, you can repeat the process again
